Papa Papa

Play on words, la papa in Spanish meaning the potato and el Papa being the Pope.  Decided there should be a plushie.  

Animatronic Hand

 

Created for a casting and molding class as part of life casting.  Hand is a silicone sleeve cast from my hand with a 3D printed skeleton that uses Arduino and servo motors to control the joints.  

Copper Rose

 Copper rose I made as part of a TIG welding class.

Goonies Skeleton Key

Skeleton Key from the Goonies film.  Sculpted in Monster Clay and cast with SmoothCast 300 with bronze powder.  Additional paint and gold rub'n'buff were applied to finish.  Left-most copy is the finished product, right most is the sculpt.  

Translucency Painting

Translucency painting I did for a class.  Made to look black and white when lit from the front, but color when lit from the back.  

Leather Wizard Hat

 

Made out of scraps of fashion leather which were sewn together before being cut for the hat pattern.  Buckram was used in the brim to maintain its stability.  

Opera Mask

 Sculpted out of Worbla over a plasticine form, backed with felt and finished with acrylic paint and an elastic band.
